Lee's is not a real place, but Hinkley is. My grandparents lived in a double-wide in Hinkley CA, a Mojave Desert community known for the major groundwater contamination by hexavalent chromium from Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), famously highlighted in the movie Erin Brockovich. Lee was my grandpa, and god knows how much of that contamination we ingested.
Lee looked like a skinny chimpanzee made of leather, wore a wifebeater and bermuda shorts every day, and there was a "Gas, Grass or Ass, no one rides for free" sticker on his truck, R.I.P.
