The Reseda Country Club was a nightclub and music venue located at 18419 Sherman Way in Reseda, California. It started off as a drug store in the 1950s, and entrepreneur Chuck Landis bought the property in 1980, turning it into a 1,000-seat country music bar. Merle Haggard played opening night. Landis leased the stage to Jim Rissmiller of Wolf & Rissmiller Concerts, and it is still considered a 'Golden Age of Rock and Roll' venue, with notable bookings like Guns N' Roses, Iggy Pop, Slayer, Motörhead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Beastie Boys, Kiss, Soundgarden, Nirvana, James Brown, Metallica (who toured Kill 'em All there, and performed their first show following the death of Cliff Burton).
The Country Club was a reliable venue for punk acts as well, hosting the Minutemen, X, FEAR, Wasted Youth, Bad Religion, the Damned, T.S.O.L., the Cramps, and many others.
The Reseda Country Club was also featured in Boogie Nights as a disco-era club club called Hot Traxx. The site is now a Spanish-language Christian church.
