The City Gardens was a nightclub in Trenton, NJ, opening in 1979. Promoter Randy Now booked over 4,000 bands - "every punk band who is a punk band played there," The Descendents, Circle Jerks, Agnostic Front, Murphys Law, Ramones, Butthole Surfers, Sonic Youth, Samhain, Suicidal Tendencies, Nirvana, and many others.
