Bogart's was a 300-capacity music venue located in an outdoor mall off PCH in Long Beach, California. When I arrived in LB, just before it closed in "93, Marina Pacifica was a ghost-town, with only Bogart's and a few scattered businesses surviving. In spite of it's odd location, Bogart's booked the likes of Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Sublime, Weezer, fIREHOSE, the Vandals, Big Drill Car, Blowfly (!?!), D.O.A., T.S.O.L., Agent Orange, UK Subs, and many more.
I got to see fIREHOSE and maybe Sublime, and was an extra in a shitty movie, where my friend and I were instructed to silently mouth the words 'watermelon, rutabaga'.
